Where it falls short

• $0.25/minute adds up fast. $15 an hour. Ten hours of recordings is $150 — more than a year of most subscriptions, and vastly more than free local tools. The economics only work at low volume.
• Free local tools have caught up. Vibe and Buzz run Whisper on your machine for nothing, with speaker diarization, and Whisper-class accuracy is competitive with commercial ASR. Temi's core value is convenience, not quality.
• Automated only. No human review at this price. Poor audio, heavy accents, and crosstalk will produce a transcript you spend real time fixing. Rev's human service exists precisely for those cases and costs much more.
• Cloud only. Files go to Rev's servers. For confidential recordings that's a decision to make deliberately.
• Thin feature set. Transcribe and edit. No summaries, no integrations, no meeting recording.

$0.25 per audio minute, or $15 per hour, billed against a funded account with no subscription. First 45 minutes free, no card needed.

Who it's for

Occasional users with a handful of files who want them transcribed now and don't want a subscription or a local install. Above roughly ten hours a year, the maths stops working — go to Vibe or Buzz for free local transcription, or a subscription service if you need the cloud features. If accuracy is critical and the audio is difficult, pay for Rev's human transcription instead.
