Where it falls short
Cloud only, no exceptions. There is no on-device mode at any tier. No connection, no dictation, and every word you speak transits Aqua's servers.
Realtime is paywalled high. The headline feature is Max-only at $24/month annual — $288 a year, which is well above the category norm.
The free tier is a demo. 1,000 words total, not per week or per month. That's a couple of emails, then you decide.
Accuracy claims are self-reported. The 97.4% figure is Aqua's own benchmark, not an independent measurement. Treat it accordingly.
Privacy policy is thin on training. Transcripts are stored by default unless you turn on Privacy Mode, and the policy doesn't clearly address model training.

Free is a 1,000-word trial. Pro at $8/month billed annually removes the word cap, adds the stronger Avalon model, 800 dictionary entries, and custom instructions. Max at $24/month annually adds Realtime mode, voice commands like "send it", and priority support. Who it's for
People who dictate long passages and want to see the text form as they talk — and who are fine with cloud processing. If word-by-word feedback is the reason you're here, budget for Max, because Pro won't give it to you. If audio can't leave your machine, this is the wrong category entirely; go to superwhisper or VoiceInk.
