What it does well
In-person meetings on the free tier. Recording a room, not just a Zoom call, without buying 's hardware. For field sales and client visits that's the whole ballgame.
A voice keyboard on mobile. Dictation and meeting capture in one subscription, which no other meeting tool here bundles.
300 free minutes with history. More usable than Read AI's five transcripts and far more than Notta's three-minute cap.
AI Writer with 40+ templates. Turns meeting content into follow-up emails and summaries in a consistent format — squarely aimed at sales follow-up.
Business is genuinely unlimited at $29.99. No per-seat framing on the published price, which compares well against per-seat competitors.
Where it falls short
Premium's 2,000 minutes isn't unlimited. Descriptions of the tier vary between "unlimited transcription" and "2,000 min/mo" depending on where you look. That's about 33 hours — fine for most, but check what you're buying.
In-person recording raises the consent question sharply. Same issue as Plaud: capturing a room means capturing people who never agreed to it, and two-party-consent rules apply to in-person conversations too.
Laxis publishes a lot of competitor comparison content. Its blog ranks for "best dictation software" and similar terms across this whole category. Interested party.
Less established than the leaders. Smaller than Otter.ai or Fireflies.ai, with a thinner integration ecosystem.
Sales-shaped. The templates, keyword tracking, and CRM features are built for revenue teams. General users pay for features they won't use.
